Many have asked, what is the difference between Dr. Lipp and Dr. Brown and their techniques? Their treatments are mirror images of each other as Dr. Brown uses Dr. Lipp’s methodology, which allows us to ensure you that your care will have a seamless transition.
Both Dr. Brown and Dr. Lipp use the EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy) machine to dramatically soften and tenderize the tissue, allowing the scar tissue to be released with a technique they both use called ART (Active Release Techniques).
The only differences are that Dr. Brown is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Dr. Lipp is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). Dr. Lipp rarely uses chiropractic, so that difference is minuscule and he is also certified to perform various forms of acupuncture.
DPTs are not authorized to perform acupuncture in the state of Florida. If Dr. Brown thinks you would benefit from acupuncture, we can schedule you with Dr. Lipp for an acupuncture session that coincides with your appointment with Dr. Brown.
