Active Health was built on a simple premise: patients deserve better than fragmented care. Too often, individuals with complex conditions are forced to bounce between separate offices, repeat their medical history at every visit, and manage communication between providers who never speak to one another. We saw an opportunity to do things differently.
By bringing physical therapy, sports medicine, and medical services together in a single Jacksonville location, we created a clinic where providers share information, align their recommendations, and collaborate on every patient's care. Meet Our Care Team

Dr. Jeffrey Lipp, DC

Dr. Jeffrey Lipp is a board-certified chiropractic physician and sports injury specialist who has been serving the Jacksonville community for nearly two decades. As a former collegiate and professional football player, Dr. Lipp brings a firsthand understanding of athletic performance, injury recovery, and the demands placed on the human body — insights that shape the care he delivers every day.
Dr. Lipp earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, widely regarded as the founding institution of the chiropractic profession. In 2005, he founded Active Health with a clear vision: to build a clinic centered on identifying root causes, restoring function, and helping patients achieve lasting results — rather than the symptom-chasing approach common throughout traditional healthcare.
Known for his relentless pursuit of excellence, Dr. Lipp completes more than 190 hours of continuing education each year, far exceeding industry standards. This commitment allows him to bring advanced, evidence-informed methods to his patients — techniques that promote longevity, support peak performance, and offer non-surgical solutions for conditions that might otherwise lead to invasive procedures. His patient-first philosophy and dedication to ongoing learning have made Active Health a trusted destination for athletes, professionals, and families across Northeast Florida.

Christopher T. Brown, DPT

Dr. Christopher Brown is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and one of Northeast Florida's most highly trained rehabilitation specialists. He earned his Bachelor's in Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, followed by his Doctorate in Physical Therapy — graduating Summa Cum Laude, the highest academic honor. During his graduate studies, Dr. Brown served as Slippery Rock's Graduate Assistant for the Gross Anatomy Lab and taught cadaveric dissection labs, giving him a depth of anatomical knowledge that few physical therapists bring to patient care.
He completed a clinical affiliation with the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he worked with patients facing a wide range of conditions — including spinal cord injuries and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis. His UPMC experience also included treating orthopedic conditions non-operatively, pre-operatively, and post-operatively, giving him a versatile foundation that informs every plan of care.
Dr. Brown is the only physical therapist in North Florida currently authorized to perform Active Release Techniques (ART), an advanced soft tissue method used to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions throughout the body. Often described as the "physical therapist version of Dr. Lipp," Dr. Brown combines his elite training from Slippery Rock and UPMC with Active Health's integrated care model — giving patients the best of both worlds.
